Day 2 of official break.

Today I'm thinking about how much Trent is already growing up. It seems like he was just a needy little newborn, and now he's a walking, talking (well a little at least communicating) toddler who can understand what I say to him. Really I am amazed at how quickly it's gone by. It didn't go this quickly with Xander, which I attribute in part to my age (at 19 do things really go by fast for anyone?) and the general shittiness of everything that went on in our lives during that time period. Nothing like having a utility shut off every month, dealing with a busted car (that you have no money to fix, and your mother getting sick then dying to maybe not focus so much on your baby growing up quickly. Obviously I feel we came out on top of those hurdles, thank god, it's just been so much easier.

But I digress (and also do not really want to make myself cry anymore, pms at it's finest!), that probably because more than likely, sadly Trent will be my last baby I'm trying to savor every moment as best as I can, which hasn't been very easy lately with my schedule. So in other words I'm glad I've had this week off to really focus on him with 100% attention. I wish I could have been more to my oldest instead of a stressed out depressed mom when he was very little.

Ugh heart poured out, time to watch more sad movies I suppose.

After the past 8 weeks of insane business..

Instead of break being relaxing, I'm rather bored. Seriously my house is spotless, I've practically snatched laundry off my family just to have something to throw into the washer and I've watched an entire season of Hell's Kitchen on DVD.

The weather did unfortunately not hold out and it was cold and dark ready to rain the entire day which killed any idea of playing outside, or going to the zoo like I wanted to. I'm also seriously considering a leash for my child so we can safely walk the dog without the dog getting caught up in the stroller wheels. Obviously my 1 year old is unwilling to hold hands, and forget baby wearing at this stage in his life, I'm ready to sell off my slings and stuff, he's simply not interested.

I did get my dyes from dharmatrading.com today, so that is something. Trent will be sporting lots of cute tie dye one piece outfits this summer, because underneath it all I'm kind of a hippy freak. I did a mass tie dye last March too, must just be the month.

I need to make myself a hair appointment, even though I'm bored I'm also incredibly lazy and I fucking hate calling to make appointments for myself.

Tomorrow I'm going to go clean my grandma's house and possibly buy that leash I just talked about. Okay it's not an actual leash it's a backpack character harness if that makes anyone feel better. So that should kill a few hours.

And I'd really like to know where my bike trailer is, I ordered it on the 2nd and I got nada except the initial e-mail from the company and the yahoo link to check your status (which mine has no status). You know when you get a bad feeling like maybe I shouldn't order from xyz, because maybe the price is too good to be true? Yeah listen to your gut, at least paying through paypal I have some recourse. Hopefully.

It's March!

Yeah so here is my monthly post, I suppose. I just can't seem to wrap my brain around blogging at all these days, perhaps it's the essay a week and additional, 500-600 words I have two write for responses and Psych? I'm just plain old over writing in any way shape or form.

I am on spring break now though, I celebrated today by going to Sam's Club and purchasing cheap yoga pants and some laundry detergent, then upon arriving home I cleaned up a winter's worth of dog crap. Ew, just ew. I'm glad I did though, because Trent spent a good half an hour exploring our yard, I'm sure he remembers nada of sitting in the stroller looking at it last year. My clingy little vine was anything but when we got outside, he had to take a good look at everything. Thank god for fences. My neighbors have a child just a few months older than Trent, they have a ginormous rock garden that encompasses half their yard. Yes they put it in, it wasn't already there or anything. Maybe it's just me but I think rocks + toddler = disaster. To each their own I guess.

Trent has learned some new words, ticka (tickle), ba (ball) and a bunch of other things that I can't really remember right now. It's so cute to listen to him chatter though. He's always busy busy busy just like Xander was at this age, but at least he can't climb. Xander was already moving chairs over to the fridge and stuff to get up there. Child was like a mountain goat, really steady, never fell off of anything.

My seven year old heard some really awful stuff from another kid today. I guess the kid told him that President Obama was going to kill all the endangered animals, and that on November 9th some teenagers are going to eradicate him (really he even used the word eradicate), and of course the kid said he hates Obama. Well we all know where that lovelyness came from, the kid's parents. Nice job guys, way to say those things in front of or to your kid. Poor Xander was worried about the animals, I told him that no that would never happen. I really hate other parents. This is why my kid isn't really allowed over too many people's houses (only people I know personally), maybe we shelter him a little bit but who knows who's got a gun or is a total fucking senseless tool? Why risk it.
